Welcome to

For over two decades, the District has sought to unlock the full potential of Poplar Point by creating a new park, housing, and economic development. Therme DC will help make that vision a reality by serving as the destination anchor, creating jobs and delivering one of the largest private investments ever East of the Anacostia River.
The project is expected to create 5,000 construction jobs and over 700 permanent jobs, with a hyperlocal hiring and training plan that ensures immediate community benefits. Therme DC will contribute an estimated $1.5B in tax revenue to DC over its first 25 years.

Therme is committed to creating an accessible wellness destination in the heart of DC.

Therme DC will be located at Poplar Point, a long-underutilized site with the potential to unlock critical investments in Ward 8.
Therme DC can unlock the enormous potential of this site for the local community, the District and the region. This project will help facilitate the creation of a new public park, which will span 70 acres and connect to the existing Anacostia Park and Anacostia River Trail.
New opportunities for development could also mean new opportunities for affordable housing, retail space for business and more jobs for the community.
Combined with Therme DC, which will bring new health and wellbeing options to Ward 8 alongside a major economic boost, Poplar Point presents a transformative opportunity for the local community.

Bathe-ing DC is not your bathroom routine. It’s bathing as a block party, a civic ritual, a collective reset. Step out of the everyday and into something different: sweat it out, eat it up, dance around, kick back, and just be together.
On October 18–19, the Sandlot turned into a pop-up playground for wellbeing.
Sauna Village: Guests cozied up in high-design mobile saunas, experience aromatherapy, sound baths, and cold plunges, and harnessed the power of deep heat for recovery, stress relief, and relaxation.
The Sandlot, Transformed: They explored a lively hub of movement workshops, a makers market, delicious food + drink, music, interactive art, and more! It was a Community Connection: A space for everyone — all ages, all backgrounds — to gather, recharge, and celebrate the art of wellbeing together.
Presented by Therme Group, Bathe-ing DC was both a community celebration and a sneak peek at what’s next: Therme DC, a 15-acre wellbeing oasis planned for Poplar Point.
